When the new Ed’s Tavern opens later this year, it will be the second restaurant opened by the company in two years. The Blundells opened their second concept, FreeMore Tavern, in Wesley Heights, offering only 12 beers on draft and the same menu. Ed’s Tavern renamed itself as Bourbon N Burgers in 2017, but the change didn’t sit well with customers. The owners rebranded back to Ed’s after only a few months.

ED’S TAVERN MENU
As for food, customers can expect plenty of burgers made with Ed’s signature 6oz patty packed with chuck, brisket & short rib. Sides include onion rings, fries, tots, mac & cheese, cucumber salad, sauteed veggies, and chips. You won’t find a better local non-corporation owned bar in Charlotte with better food. I’ve had most things menu items here but the wings in any flavor and the burgers are legit! Located in a great comfy neighborhood and I really like the layout here for sports. Ed’s Tavern is located in the heart of Dilworth, NC.

Thanks to Mike Morelli and his staff for helping kick off our reunion weekend. Good sports bar atmosphere, waiters can be a bit in a rush at times nothing terrible. I think they have some good wings though I was disgusted with the Cajun flavor rub. It was a weird texture and it tasted burnt, not sure what was going on but would not get again. The Nashville flavor on the other hand...AMAZING!

I definitely made the right choice by selecting Ed’s over a number of other Charlotte venues I considered. From start to finish I had a very good experience and many of the folks attending the concert commented about the good service. All the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Ed’s has a lot of space inside with many TVs and the expansive deck out back is a great place to relax outside.
Served up with hot fudge, caramel, chocolate, strawberry, or blackberry, and topped off with whipped cream, Roasted Almonds and a cherry. Kids of all ages are welcome to enjoy a smaller serving of our country favorites. Our thick cut USDA Choice Chuck Roast is slow roasted in the "pot roast" tradition for up to 14 hours until fork tender. Cracker Barrel Freshly Brewed Iced Tea has been served in our stores since 1969.

Free pastries for breakfast that were to die for. Last stay, we had a dog and it was so well appointed on the ground floor for that. Best thing is a great restaurant (10% discount for those staying). Pet-friendly rooms are available in the Country Motor Lodge, and may also be available in limited quantities in the Tillyer House, based on availability. A pet fee is applied to any guest room with pets, unless the guest can provide documentation that the pet is a service animal.

The Fly By Night seeds were scattered throughout the woods near a small village, and Charlotte began a new life there. When Charlotte was younger, she had long, layered red hair, similar to Mary's, but longer and slightly darker. Her eyes are blue, and she resembled an older Mary in a way. She was often seen in a black, flowing dress that looked similar to a cloak. The sleeve were long and oversized, like the rest of the dress. With the attire, she wore a plain red scarf and long heel boots that reached her knees.

The fall white shrimp season typically produces the largest catch. These shrimp are the offspring of the spring spawn. This season usually begins in August and peaks in September and October. The season usually lasts through December and sometimes into January. They are great for shrimp boils, like our Lowcounrty Boil, and other preparations where they can soak in the flavors but we also prepare them fried, pan sautéed, steamed, broiled, and blackened.

This tradition started in the dining room aptly named The Oyster Factory, which is located in the rear of the restaurant. Hudson, Jr. added fresh locally caught shrimp to the operation, and in 1967, the operation grew to 95 seats. Hudson’s is the only restaurant on Hilton Head Island that has a working fleet of shrimp boats. Jeff and Skip Toomer are third generation shrimpers, and they dock at the restaurant to deliver the freshest locally caught shrimp. You might be lucky and see the process as you dine on the dock. Our local shrimp are sweet-tasting, succulent, and delicious.

When the crabs back out of their shells, they are immediately removed and served to hungry guests. Last year we shed out and served over 2,300 soft shell crabs. The recipient of countless awards and recognition for excellence in quality and service, Hudson’s was most recently featured in Bon Appétit as a top pick for fried seafood. Originally built by the venerable J. B. Hudson, Sr. as an oyster factory in 1912, Hudson’s oysters were brought in by oar-powered boats known as Bateaux, shucked on the docks and then sent by barge to the Northeast. The discarded shells were dispersed creating the very peninsula and foundation on which the restaurant currently stands. Hudson’s Seafood is literally a business built on oysters! Hudson, Sr. started a thriving family business that became a local landmark, a Hilton Head tradition and widely knows as the source of the freshest seafood on Hilton Head Island.

We support local fishermen, shrimpers, and crabbers to provide the freshest local seafood to our guests and are committed to catch and purchase as much seafood as possible from our local waters. Over 3,000 gallons of oysters and 125,000 pounds of shrimp are consumed and over 450,000 raw oysters are freshly shucked on the premises. We farm and harvest our very own oysters, cultivate fresh soft shell crabs, harvest stone crab claws, and harvest fresh local white shrimp. Our family of chefs, fisherman, shrimpers, crabbers and restaurant staff welcome your family to have a great local experience at our waterfront location. In 1975, Brian and Gloria Carmines—transplants from Long Island, NY via Atlanta, GA—purchased Hudson’s, and a new family tradition began.
Shell Ring is a sustainable oyster farm in Port Royal Sound. If you are a fan of bivalves, you will, without a doubt, appreciate the fruits of our labor. These oysters are often harvested, shucked, and eaten in the same day—absolutely the freshest oysters anywhere in the world.
All of our fish are brought in whole, filleted in-house, and added to the daily lunch and dinner specials. There are two seasons for white shrimp. The first, is the roe shrimp season which usually occurs in May or June.

Here, we people-watched, read our books, and played crossword puzzles until lunchtime. We sampled a yummy cheeseburger from Guy’s Burgers for a late lunch.

To soak up some of the atmospheres of Mobile, I recommend walking this historic street in the Downtown area. As night falls, live music and jazz fill the skies as you walk by the art galleries and pretty boutiques selling crafts, vintage, and gifts. It looks similar to New Orleans because of its shady wrought iron balconies.

None of us really wanted to deal with the choppy waters or tender boats today, so we opted to stay onboard. We decided to sleep in and we were woken up by an announcement over the intercom by the Captain. We were already anchored outside of Belize but the cabin was dark and it was obvious that there was a problem. Immediately, we could see that the ship was decorated for the Halloween season.
